Ever since it began its activity in 1980, IFEMA~Institución Ferial de Madrid has convened professionals and companies from a wide range of economic sectors both in Spain and abroad. At present, with two million visitors a year, it is by far the organisation that produces a greater impact on the city’s tourist sector. In this framework, the entity has created Ifema Plus, a customer fidelity programme that establishes connections between its users and the city.

From the very beginning we have believed that its success lies in its bidirectional functioning: on the one hand, the platform intends to offer visitors and exhibitors exclusive benefits in Madrid’s best leisure activities; on the other, it intends to act as a promotion channel for the different products and services the city has to offer visitors. After two years in force, Ifema Plus continues to grow exponentially, both in number of users and in those of supporting companies and organisations.

Giftrends City

During Giftrends 2012—the fair that encompasses the Bisutex, Intergift and Madridjoya salons—we built Giftreds City, a sectoral program through which the Ifema Plus beneficiaries could visit the central neighbourhoods of Soho Madrid and Triball, where some premises were waiting with extended opening hours, and promotions and discounts on articles related to decoration. We could close agreements with more than forty establishments assisted by the main collaborators as the Corporate Textile and Complements Association—ACOTEX, Madrid City Council, and the Madrid Confederation of Specialised Trade—COCEM.
