The Off ECAM project, promoted by the ECAM Foundation, is designed to distribute independent films made, produced, or films on which at least one team leader holds a diploma from the School of Cinematography and Audiovisuals—ECAM. It acts as the sole non-profit distributor, therefore all the income obtained is destined to foundational purposes. As a result, they are able to continue to offer a wide range of services that end up optimising the budget destined to distribution.

Now, the Cinematic Summerhall Edinburgh—which is held on 24 and 25 April, presents five of its latest productions at a special section. Besides En directo, Helsinki, La soledad del cormorán and Nena, we find Biodiversidad, one of the three short films made in the framework of the project entitled Short Films for the Environment. Directed by Guillermo Chapa, with actors Juanjo Ballesta and Michelle Jenner, and David Pinillos as executive producer, the film was shot in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, an exceptional location.
